Originating in the late 19th century, originally known as an Albert chain named after Queen Victoria's consort Prince Albert. Its original function was to secure a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat, today worn by the trendy elite as fashionable necklaces. This function was pioneered in the first world war as a keepsake between soldiers and their families hoping for a safe return. Part of our signature range.
